Usually, it's best to make people have a happy life, even if it's not normal before hand, but I think this is one where it's best allowed to have people be stoic to what's going on at first o3o; Readers won't really feel the remorse of war but at the same time, neither will most of the characters in a setting like this when they're so used to war and killing XD;
IDK, I guess I just like how it's set up so far? As long as you make the female lead to be a strong woman as opposed to just make her more of a man you're gonna do good at the least, I think. Seems good so far in that department.
